Workshop 1 Evaluation
The clip chosen for this voiceover is one from the children’s TV programme, Peppa Pig.
To begin the process of creating this voice over, the first step we took was writing a script, being careful to match the words well with the movement of the characters’ mouths, as well as the timing of the entire clip. However, despite trying to match the new lines well with the movement of their mouths and the look of the scene, we still have tried our best to give the clip a whole new plot and tone with our new script. This is to create an interesting effect.
A voice recorder was then used by the voice actors, and then the recorded sounds were downloaded onto the Premier software as I believe it is the best software for editing the sounds with a video successfully.
Overall, I believe this voiceover has been a success, however still could have been greatly improved. For example, the sounds worked well with the clip and gave it a new mood - which was our sole aim. We changed the meaning and tone from a simple, childlike, positive mood to a more ‘adult’ and negative (yet comedic) mood. However, the sound quality could have been improved by using better equipment for the recording process, as well as a better editing software, which would be able to focus on editing the sounds perfectly, giving the voiceover a more professional feel.

Workshop 2 Evaluation
The scene I have chosen to re-dub is one from ‘Trip the Movie’.
To begin the process of creating this voice over dub, the first step we took was writing out the exact script from this scene, to ensure we get every word right for the lipsync.
A voice recorder was then used by the voice actors, and then the recorded sounds were downloaded onto the Premier software as I believe it is the best software for editing the sounds with a video successfully.
Overall, I believe this voiceover-dub has been a fair success, however it still could have been improved greatly. For example, my end product was mostly exact with regards to the lip syncing and timing, however the recorded voices had spoken too fast and no re-recording was done. This meant it was harder and took more time to edit, leading to the timing not being completely exact. Additionally, the sound quality was good due to a well thought out area for recording, yet could have been improved still by the use of better equipment during the recording process. This would have also given our voiceover a more professional sound.

Workshop 3 Evaluation
The scene I have chosen to re-record the sounds for a clip from ‘Jurassic World’.
To begin the process of re-creating the sound effects, the first step we took was working out which sounds we needed to make and how we could create them.
A recorder was then used to record our Foley sounds with the objects we have found, and then the recorded sounds were downloaded onto the Premier software as I believe it is the best software for editing the sounds with a video successfully. Finally, after editing all the sound effects I added a non-diegetic soundtrack as background music that I believe fit the mood of the scene well for the best affect possible.
Overall, I believe this Foley sound re-creation has been successful, however it still could have been improved. For example, my end product was mostly exact with regards to the sound and image syncing and timing. However, some sounds sich was the banging we used for the dinosaurs footsteps were often too slow or too fast and no re-recording was done, meaning it was more challenging to edit my product well, and took longer, therefore leading to some of the timing not being completely exact. Additionally, the sound quality was good yet could have been improved still by the use of better equipment during the recording process and a more well thought out quiet recording space. This would have also given my end product a more professional sound.
The most difficult sound to recreate was the dinosaur roar as it is difficult to make that sound accurate and took further editing to ensure it sounded good. Also, the tearing of fabric was tricky since we simply did not have the right materials, however I was still able to make it sound accurate and fit perfectly.
